New online magazine helps boost Buy Local initiative

 

Horsham District has a brand new weekly online magazine available to view throughout December, encouraging locals to focus on buying close to home for their Christmas shopping this year to support independent businesses in all of our market towns.

Horsham.tv is the brain child of the Buy Local team at Horsham District Council and their network of local media partners, including local video producers Silvertip Films.

The online magazine is divided into half hour programmes which are ‘seasonally stuffed’ full of news, features, local interviews and competitions.

A series of three pilot shows have been commissioned to screen in the weeks running up to Christmas and if successful, it is hoped to engage local business support to bring them back for a longer series in early 2021. The shows are aired each Friday lunchtime via www.horsham.tv and also on Facebook in a partnership with Visit Horsham and Horsham Time Well Spent. This Friday lunchtime (8 December) sees the premier of episode 3 live on Facebook/ VisitHorsham and on www.horsham.tv which this week is brought to you in association with Santa Claus fresh from his grotto at Old Barn Nurseries on the A24.

This latest episode will feature Raymond Warren Art and Tom Foolery aka The Bike Side, a tutorial with Storrington’s Body & Face, a look in on South Lodge’s Christmas festivities, a District- wide shopping trip for seasonal studio decorations and Santa’s special selection of locally sourced gift ideas.

So far the series has received over 8,000 views.
