October half term is the one where more Family activities move indoors as the weather gets colder, the sun goes down earlier and more seasonal excitement is closed for the rest of the year.
So, what are you and the Famliy going to do? What won’t take a huge chunk out of the wallet but still give you an afternoon of fun? It’s hard these days to find something that manages to do both. It seems like The REC have managed it.
With the introduction of hourly bowling, you now get far more bang for your buck than at other bowling centres. Up to 6 of you can grace the lane with gutter balls, strikes and spares. You can Play for an hour and it will only cost £25! That’s a game for less than a fiver!
With the lanes socially distanced to ensure everyone is well spaced, the bowling balls sanitised after each booking and hand sanitiser available on every lane. You can play with the knowledge that precautions are being taken to ensure you feel safe and have fun.
A blog post from the fantastic planning playtime highlights just how much fun bowling can be for the whole Family. It also notes how during these strange times it’s important to build memories, have fun and take your mind off the other stresses currently flooding our lives.
You can book a lane at the website and also browse the fantastic menu that many say now has the best burgers in Horsham!
It’s not just bowling!
As ever at The REC, they are moving forward to give people something extra and over the past few weeks the outside cafe has moved into selling the award winning Piglets Pantry sausage rolls and pies, whilst indoors the ever popular Marshfields ice cream continues to wow customers with the new Freakshakes and milkshakes. (Believe me, you need to try a freakshake!!)
Whilst downstairs the new games room has launched with the biggest screen in town. You can play FIFA 21, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and others with the sound booming from the famous REC Rooms sound system!
So this half term, take the family bowling, enjoy a freakshake, make some memories!
