Horsham charity goes virtual!

Horsham based charity Springboard, have gone virtual to support families who have children or young people with disabilities and or additional needs during lockdown.

They are providing live interactive sessions, pre-recorded social media activities and weekly themed activity packs to keep children and young people engaged and occupied.

Plus you don’t need to be a member of Springboard to access their virtual offer!

Springboard are responding to Covid-19 by:
Delivering a LIVE INTERACTIVE VIRTUAL PROGRAMME for families with a child with SEND.
Publishing UPLIFTING AND POSITIVE CONTENT on social media that will lift spirits and promote resources, content and information to support families.
Delivering RECORDED VIRTUAL PROGRAMME for all families to interact with at a time that is best for each family, including activities based around experiments, arts and crafts, sensory and story times.
Emailing weekly THEME BASED PROGRAMME for families with a child with SEND.
REGULARLY TOUCHING BASE (Welfare calls, texts or video calls) with families to see how they are doing, supporting where they can and securing the support of others where needed.
Having a WHOLE FAMILY APPROACH and being AVAILABLE TO TALK AND LISTEN to all members of your family on the telephone, zoom, WhatsApp or over text.
ENCOURAGING AND SIGNPOSTING to other organisations that can offer specialist support.
Offering EQUIPMENT AND RESOURCES to those that need them.
Maintaining the HEALTH AND WELLBEING OF STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS so they can support you now and, in the future.
SUPPORTING THE WIDER SYSTEM by working with those across education, health, social care and the voluntary sector to develop further support where needed.

All donations made will be put in a dedicated Covid 19 response fund to support families during this time and to help in the recovery from the pandemic.
