Overview: A lawyer takes the company DuPont to court under the suspicion that they may be poisoning the whole of America, with harrowing results.
Dark Waters is the true story of Robert Bilott (Ruffalo), a Cincinnati lawyer who took the company DuPont to court after a farmer lost 190 cows to mysterious circumstances. Although the cast all give terrific performances the standout has to be given to Mark Ruffalo. He delivers an emotionally straining performance which not only makes you care about his character, but also increases the tension of the film, which is very apparent in a scene involving a car park.
Overall, Dark Water features some incredible performances and while the film may drag at points, it’s a film that needs to be seen and boasts a strong message that is very evident in the society we live in today.
