Do you need advice on making or amending your Will or Lasting Power of Attorney?

The team at Age UK Horsham District are delighted to be working with local company Kreston Reeves once again to bring free information to local people on making or amending Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

The local charity is hosting two FREE Will and Lasting Power of Attorney Workshops later this month:

Tuesday 21 January, 1.30pm at Dingemans Court, Shooting Field, Steyning, BN44 3RU
Tuesday 28 January, 1.30pm at Lavinia House, Dukes Square, Horsham, RH12 1GZ

The workshops are an informal opportunity to talk to a practicing lawyer and ask any questions you may have about different types of Wills, inheritance tax, trusts in Wills, codicils, Lasting Power of Attorney, etc. – all with no obligation. Workshops will take the informal format of attendees and solicitors all sitting around having a cup of tea/coffee and asking whatever questions they have.

These workshops are being hosted by local charity Age UK Horsham District, one of their Trustees is a practicing lawyer. Philip Lansberry and his Kreston Reeves colleagues are donating their time and expertise to help local people with these sometimes difficult and costly, but very important, issues.

Simon Dowe, Interim CEO, for local, independent charity Age UK Horsham District said “We’re delighted to be working with Kreston Reeves again to bring such useful and free information workshops to local people. People who attended the workshops in the last two years have told us just how invaluable it was to speak to a solicitor informally, and for free, about these matters.”

Following on from the workshops, during the last week of February and first week of March, Kreston Reeves solicitors are kindly giving their time pro bono and in return for a donation to Age UK Horsham District for up to 20 local people/couples to write/amend their Wills and Lasting Power of Attorneys.

Donations received from the ‘Make a Will Scheme’ will go towards funding the free services Age UK Horsham District offers that support older people in the local area, with the aims of tackling loneliness and social isolation, improving access to services and financial support and generally helping older people to love later life.

Simon went on to say: “We’re enormously grateful to the team at Kreston Reeves for their continuing support – it really does mean a lot, and funds raised through the Make a Will Scheme will all go towards supporting our free services.”
