The Friends of Horsham Museum & Art Gallery have recently launched a new fundraising scheme, Adopt an Artefact, asking you to support Horsham Museum in their endeavour to maintain a crucial cultural and historical centre for the present and future generations of Horsham and its District.
Please help Horsham Museum & Art Gallery to care for its unique collection by adopting one of our chosen artefacts for a year – for yourself, or as an unusual gift. There are 30 museum exhibits to adopt at the standard rate of £25 for adults or £10 for children. Full details of the artefacts available and the adoption process can be found on the museum website https://www.horshammuseum.org/get-involved/friends/Adopt-an-artefact. Artefacts include a suit of armour, Attwater’s Cricket stumps , bat and ball, Willoth the dragon, Pentacycle or even John Haigh’s comb.
You will receive an Adoption Certificate and your name in the gallery where the object is located unless you wish to remain anonymous!
The money raised through this scheme helps finance vital projects within the museum, such as the conservation of the museum’s collections, supporting the very popular and free children’s Art Zone as well as enabling new projects to be undertaken for the benefit of our community and for the purchase of important objects.
