Collyer’s Cambridge University Challenge!

Collyer’s students who are up for the challenge of Cambridge University, have recently enjoyed a day at the world renowned institution, learning about the application process and life at the university. Collyer’s Oxbridge Co-ordinator, Noami Lask, explained: “We took 45 students along to Cambridge, where they enjoyed a number of activities. The day included a talk from the admissions director at Churchill College, who gave the students a fascinating insight into how to make a competitive application to Cambridge, and the benefits of studying at the university. We were also treated to a tour of the college and a free lunch!”

Later, the students visited St John’s College, to see what many regard as a more ‘traditional’ Cambridge college, where students were able to ask questions to a student panel about their experiences of applying to and studying at Cambridge. Noami added: “The student panel also took time out from their studies to give Collyer’s students a tour of St Johns, which was incredibly kind of them.” Collyer’s Deputy Principal Steve Martell said: “Massive thanks to Cambridge University for their generous hospitality and to Noami Lask for making this wonderful opportunity possible for our students.”
