Old Barn Garden Centre selects ‘worthy winner’

The winner of a colouring competition staged by a family-run business in Dial Post, near Horsham, has been announced.

Enva, aged eight, from Partridge Green won first prize in the contest at Old Barn garden centre on the A24. She was presented with her prize of mixed arts and crafts materials by manager Paul Smythe, with Mum and Dad there for the ceremony.

Paul explained: “The judges had a difficult time selecting a winner; The standard of entry was very high but, in the end, Enva’s contribution stood out and she is the worthy winner, with use of imagination and colour.”

The garden centre, part of the Tates of Sussex group, runs regular competitions. This one involved the design and drawing of a sandcastle.
