There’s comedy galore at The Hawth this Winter, with some gigs already sold out. Don’t worry if you missed out on Gary Delaney or Ben Elton, there are comedy favourites old and new taking to the stage and studio throughout the coming months, meaning there’s no excuse not to get your funnybone tickled!
We are especially excited to announce our very first Live at The Hawth (Friday 4 October), a hilarious celebration of some of the best comedy talent on the circuit, with acts for the night including Nina Conti, Abandonman, Adam Hess, Colin Hoult as Anna Mann and Angela Barnes.
On top of that we also have comedy from many more of the countrie’s top talents, we just couldn’t squeeze them all into one night. On Saturday 12 October Ruby Wax will be taking to the stage to answer every question you can think of about How to Be Human, Jonathan Pie presents The Fake News Tour to berate those in power on Thursday 17 October and the very next night you’ll be invited to ride off Into the Punset with star of Mock the Week Stewart Francis (Friday 18 October).
Pam Ayres has been making the nation laugh for over 40 years and she’ll be doing it again in Crawley as she performs poems from her new book, Up in the Attic on Thursday 21 November, while another Hawth favourite, Ed Byrne, is back on Friday 17 January with If I’m Honest, where he questions whether he has any traits that are worth passing onto his children.
The Studio is also a comedy goldmine this season with Image Conscious, Paul Foot (Thursday 10 October) coming at audiences with his unique brand of humour, plus Northern Joker, Justin Moorhouse (Wednesday 23 October) and Best Newcomer nominee Darren Harriott, who considers himself to be a Good Heart Yute (Sunday 27 October).
Andrew Lawrence promises no politics, no religion and no swearing in his new show, Clean on Saturday 2 November and Britain’s Got Talent finalist Daliso Chaponda will give audiences the perfect way to start of the new year on Wednesday 15 January.
