YMCA DownsLink Group calls on community to give them their vote ahead of prestigious national youth awards ceremony

YMCA DownsLink Group (YMCA DLG), the local youth charity which operates across Sussex and West Surrey has several projects shortlisted for the YMCA Youth Matters Awards 2019 and is asking for your support to vote for them.

YMCA WiSE project has been shortlisted for the Health and Wellbeing Project of the Year Award
Put the spark back into your future has been shortlisted for the Training & Education Project of the Year Award

FEAR//LESS Project and YMCA Guildford Foyer have been shortlisted for the Diversity Award
The online public vote, which opened on 12 August , is due to close at midnight on 26 August. Votes cast by the public will be combined with the judges’ choices and the finalists will be announced at the beginning of September.
Chas Walker, Chief Executive of YMCA DLG, said: “We are overjoyed and excited to be shortlisted for several awards and to have reached this stage. We hope everyone in the local community will vote for us, as making it through to the final would be incredible.”
Youth Matters is YMCA’s national awards programme that has been an integral part of the charity’s calendar for the past decade. It celebrates the outstanding skills and achievements of young people from across the country. It also recognises the vital work that YMCAs deliver every day to help transform the lives of young people and give them a brighter future.
