Bluecoat Sports, a Horsham based health and fitness club, have been working hard behind the scenes recently to diversify their offering to their members and give them increased fitness facilities.
These new facilities include applying for planning for a major expansion to the club which would see their capabilities almost double and the opening of a brand new outdoor fitness facility called ‘The Fitness Yard’.
Over the last year, the team at Bluecoat Sports have been working hard to put together their expansion plans based on the feedback of the local community. The new plans include the following facilities:
- Two floor expansion as an addition to the existing building
- A leisure and teaching pool
- Associated spa facilities
- Two new class studios
- A fitness suite
- A new café area
- Track and field facilities, including an all weather running track
- An adventure trail
- 3G artificial grass pitch for football and rugby
The planning application went live on the Horsham District Council planning portal at the beginning of June and over the last few months Bluecoat Sports have been asking the public to leave their comments about the expansion plans.
Following this public consultation, the application is now being reviewed and a determination will be made on 4th September 2019.
