Farlington is delighted to be ranked highly in the Government’s school performance table for A Levels in England, which was published last month. The table ranks schools and colleges by their progress score.
Farlington was the 16th best independent school and the 3rd best all-girls independent school in England. In West Sussex, it was the 2nd highest ranked school.
The value-added or progress score assesses how much progress students who studied A Levels at a school or college made between the end of key stage 4 (GCSEs) and the end of their A Level studies, compared to similar students across England.
Louise Higson, Farlington Headmistress, commented: “We are delighted to be ranked so highly. It is a demonstration of the hard work and commitment of our students.
“My appreciation and thanks go to all their teachers; their passion and commitment are key in providing the excellent teaching and support which enables the girls to achieve their potential and reach the universities of their choice.”
