The rec is proud to announce the launch of its newly refurbished diner. Almost a year in the making customers will now be able to enjoy a fantastic selection of burgers, hot dogs and chicken as they bowl.
It has been a long journey for Nick and Graham, owners of the popular Horsham leisure facility, as they strive to pick up the pieces of what was fundamentally a centre with a poor reputation when they took it on. Many aspects of the Bowl were not at the high standard they hoped for, none more so than the kitchen and it was following advice from Horsham Disctrict Council that the hard work began, “It was a mess and needed severe redevelopment.” said Nick.
With a new menu and chef it is certainly a step forward and with Chef Tess having come from Jamie’s Italian and Wabi the opportunity to further enhance the kitchens reputation is clear for all to see. The aim is simple, to create a better quality product for customers whilst keeping a traditional bowling centre feel and with a quick glance at the menu it is easy to see that this is something they have stuck to. With food sourced from local Family run wholesalers too it is noticeable that this venue wants to help create something special for the town. Local people running a local business, using local suppliers.
Kids parties are always a key part of any leisure facility like this and as of last week the new diner entertained its first party guests, it won’t just be excitable youngsters that get the full diner experience either as from next week if you are visiting the music venue, The rec rooms, you will be able to order food before your show.
