Horsham based charity Music for ALL has a huge array of excellent instruments, a virtual Aladdin’s Cave, and will be delighted to present one to any suitably deserving local recipient meeting the simple selection criteria in the easy to enter Christmas Competition.

MfA Chief Executive Paul McManus tells the District Post: “We ran a competition last year and it was wonderful when we were able to hand over a lovely guitar to a budding young local musician – and the good news is that this year’s competition is even bigger and better! At MfA we are thrilled to have been donated a truly superb range of instruments, all in tip top condition, and we are looking forward to sharing this good fortune with the good people of the Horsham District just in time for Christmas! So, whether you are a private individual, school or community project just follow the simple competition guidelines shown below and we look forward to hearing you – the more the merrier!”  Paul continues: “Playing music has really changed my life and I’d love to give others the same opportunity that I was fortunate enough to have – to enable them to experience the joy of music making with one of our fantastic instruments. Our amazing collection comes in three categories – suited for most people either starting or already playing we have an enormous supply of acoustic guitars – including several Fenders and many other brands to die for, together with amplifiers, an effects pedal board, ukeleles, banjos, flutes, a clarinet, marching tenor horn, mellophones and even a Yamaha keyboard.”          While, for more experienced musicians MfA have, among a host of other items, a twelve string guitar, Vox amplifier, effects board, Roland and Yamaha keyboards, saxophones, and, incredibly, a Euphonium, Paul adding: “For schools, colleges and community projects we have a Yamaha Clavinova, 18 pairs of AKG headphones, 20 recorders of different sizes and two ‘Build a Musical Instrument’ kits.” MfA supporters include Gareth Malone, Jools Holland and many other well known names, and the feedback received following donations is truly hear-warming.
