The newest brewery in town is one year old and, to celebrate, they’re hosting a party with live music, great food, and, most importantly, exceptional locally brewed beer.
Katharine and Michael, owners and brewers of the cycling branded beer, have also brewed up a new birthday beer in collaboration with Chimney Fire Coffee that you can sample at the party. This new Coffee Brown Ale, aptly named ‘Col Beans’ after high mountain passes loved by cyclists, is infused with Ethiopian coffee from Chimney Fire Coffee. The coffee has notes of Jasmine, Apricot and Honey and these flavours enhance the ale’s well rounded malt character.
The brewery’s inaugural year has been full of discovery, learning and meeting some fantastic and interesting people who might not all be cyclists, but certainly all love good beer. Katharine reflected on the year: “Mostly we’ve loved producing beers that people are now really enjoying”. When asked about their new birthday beer she said: “it’s absolutely delicious, we’re really proud of this one. It’s been great to partner with Chimney Fire Coffee to make a beer that’s a bit different and special”.
The party is tonight, 7-11pm, at Chapeau Brewing Taproom, Unit 8 Redkiln Close, Horsham RH13 5QL. There’ll be live music, the Allez Nutrition food van offering hot food and pastries, and, of course, the launch of their birthday beer.
They’re looking forward to seeing many familiar faces who have supported them through their first year and also welcoming new visitors to the brewery.
