Rudridge Horsham has announced it will be supporting the Stroke Association as its chosen ‘Charity of the Year’ throughout 2018 and 2019.
The groundwork and materials supplier, which is based on Handcross Road, chose the charity in honour of former employee, Tony Marshall, who sadly passed away in 2016. He had worked at Rudridge for 14 years as a Senior Sales Executive.
The Stroke Association works to prevent stroke, and support everyone affected by it, by funding research, and campaigning for the rights of stroke survivors.
Tara Galloway, Head of Stroke Support for the Stroke Association said: “There are around 1.2 million people in the UK who are living with the devastating impact of stroke. A stroke can happen to anyone at any time, and it turns lives upside down in an instant. We’re incredibly grateful to Rudridge for choosing us as their Charity of the Year. The money raised will go a long way towards helping more stroke survivors and their families to rebuild their lives.”
Paul Duke, Sales Director at Rudridge, who had worked with Tony closely, said: “I know I speak for the whole team when I say how missed Tony is. We hope that, by supporting the Stroke Association, we can continue to honour his memory and raise vital funds to help other people affected by it.”
The team at Rudridge will undertake a number of charity fundraising activities to raise funds, which will be announced in the coming months.
