The Rotary Club of Horsham’s Funday Sunday event, being held in Horsham Park this Sunday (8 July), will include a raffle of largely local prizes donated by local businesses. There are 38 fantastic prizes worth well over £2000 – with a first prize of £250 cash.
The money raised will go to the Rotary Club of Horsham’s ‘Making a Difference fund’, which provides small grants to local families and individuals who are in short term need. These grants come with very few conditions and, in case of emergencies, can be provided quickly. Applications usually come to the club through other local organisations (churches, social services, etc.) but you can apply at: https://horshamrotary.org.uk/sitepage/how-we-help
A Rotary Club spokesperson stated: “We are very active in the Horsham and surrounding areas, running several ongoing programmes and organising a wide variety of events each year….which raise funds and provide fun and entertainment for the local community. Many of these events also drive ‘footfall’ into the town, which assists our wonderful town and it’s businesses. As a result of it’s efforts, Rotary donates approx. £50,000 each year to local people and Horsham’s many deserving charitable organisations.
“The Rotary Club of Horsham extends its sincere thanks to Horsham’s residents and all the local businesses, who continue to support us throughout the years. In particular, for Funday Sunday, we thank our sponsors Wakefields Jewellers, Mannings Heath Golf Club, Leonardslee Gardens, Haven/Isuzu, Brock Taylor, Henfield Hire, Weald Living, and Horsham District Council…
