Council Chairman officially opens new chocolate experience for Horsham

Horsham District Council’s Chairman, Cllr Peter Burgess, officially opened Horsham’s new chocolate house Chococo on Thursday 12 July in Horsham’s Carfax.
Chococo’s main ethos is that it uses fresh ingredients to make its products – there are no added preservatives or artificial colourings.
The multi award-winning company has been gradually expanding across the south, making Horsham its 4th chocolate house.
The company supports local food and drink producers in each location where it has a chocolate house. Horsham is no exception – Chococo already works with Sussex-based Cast Iron Roasters coffee, Bird & Blend tea, Sussex ice cream, Wobblegate juices, and Coburn & Baker cakes.
Chococo also loves to collaborate with local producers to create unique flavoured chocolates and, during the evening part of the celebration, the company proudly presented its new Cabin Pressure Gin & Rosemary chocolate.
Cllr Burgess commented: “The residents and visitors of Horsham are very pleased that Chococo has chosen the town to launch its newest shop.
“The inclusion of a new and different food outlet in our varied selection of stores is most welcome.
“I wish Chococo every success in their venture and, having tasted their products, I will certainly be coming back as a customer.”
Chococo ( is a chocolate company that was founded originally by Claire and Andy Burnett in Swanage, Dorset, in 2002. For more information on the background of the company, please visit:
