Local Residents can enjoy a new and improved workout experience following a £100,000 gym refit at The Pavilions In The Park. The gym, which re-opened on Friday 10 November, boasts an exciting range of new fitness equipment that meets the need of the fast changing fitness environment.
The new look gym was officially re-opened by local resident Jenny Powell. Jenny has been a member at The Pavilions In The Park since it first opened in 2002 and works out at the centre three to four times a week.
New equipment on offer at the gym includes a large functional training frame with battle rope, dip, chin up and suspension training attachments, 2 Watt bikes – used by British Cycling they are the closest to on road training that you’ll get indoors, Technogym SkillMill, Plate loaded leg press and a sprint track and sledge.
Other upgrades included replacement lockers and improved vanity units in the changing rooms.
Fitness Manager, Liam Randall, commented: “We’ve had a great reaction from customers so far and our instructors are enjoying showing off the new bits of kit. It’s a positive change and we are pleased to be able to offer our members something new”.
Tom Fotheringham, Centre Manager at The Pavilions In The Park, added: “The new equipment and new look gym are a fantastic improvement to the fitness offering at the centre. The functional training frame brings us right up to date with trends in the fitness industry and offers customers hundreds of new exercises to try”.
