Pulborough Harvest Fair

Pulborough’s annual harvest fair, which celebrates farming, food and fun, will take place on the this weekend.

This year’s principal sponsor is Domino’s Pizza Pulborough, who will be selling pizza slices in the food area. The fair will include the fantastic LMC Arena with music from local folk band Taylor Maid performing at noon and 4pm, entertainment from the brilliant Tom Foolery, a fun dog show at 1pm, run by Arun Veterinary Group, beer and bellinis, plenty of local produce and tasty food stalls in the Mayo Wynne Baxter Food Area, cakes, farm animals, craft stalls, displays, a scarecrow competition, sponsored by Comyn & James and Harris’s beautiful traditional fun fair. Local businesses and groups which are supporting the event, include Harwoods and the Pulborough Medical Group, who will be on hand should anyone need medical assistance.

The theme for this year’s Scarecrow competition is Sci-Fi & Space!  Scarecrows can be brought along to the Glebe Field on the day, between 8am and 10am, to be displayed. Prizes will be awarded for the judge’s favourite. For tips on how to make your scarecrow, please look out for this year’s fair brochure.

There will be a raffle in the Organisers tent, with a star prize of £100.

Event details: Saturday 23 September 11am until 5pm, Glebe field (opposite the Chequers Hotel) in the centre of Pulborough. Free entry.
