Elio Pace and his band at The Capitol

Next month, Horsham’s Capitol Theatre plays host to the sensational Billy Joel Songbook.

“Everything about The Billy Joel Songbook is sheer perfection. We can only marvel at Elio Pace’s talent” Robert Lindsay

In 2013, and again in 2014, Elio Pace was invited to ‘fill Billy Joel’s shoes’, starring in five very special reunion concerts in the USA with Joel’s original 1971-72 touring band, recreating the historic Sigma Sounds live recordings. This incredible honour inspired Elio to fulfil a lifetime ambition of creating a theatre show showcasing the wonderful songbook of the six-time Grammy award winner. And so, ‘The Billy Joel Songbook, performed by Elio Pace and his band’ was born.

Elio took to the road in 2014, with the first ever Billy Joel Songbook national theatre tour anywhere in the World, enthralling audiences at 70 venues around the UK and Ireland. With Billy Joel choosing to perform a mere one or two international shows every few years, there are many fans out there who have never had the opportunity to hear his music live. ‘The Billy Joel Songbook’, packed with over 30 of Joel’s hits and fan favourites, will give everyone a fantastic opportunity to hear his wonderful songbook, played and sung by the brilliant Elio Pace and his magnificent:6-piece band.

Elio and the band were featured by Sky Sports in their TV and online coverage of the 2015 Ashes cricket tournament, with a specially re-written version of Billy Joel’s ‘We Didn’t Start The Fire’. Now in its third year, the 2016 Billy Joel Songbook theatre tour has once again been booked to play at over 50 venues this year all over the UK.

Well respected by fellow performers, – “Elio rocks!” Brian May, “Elio is tremendous… I’m a big fan. Music made the old fashioned way… played” Huey Lewis, “Elio Pace is fierce! An accomplished musician and performer, his talent can be equalled only by his infectious enthusiasm” Lulu, “Only Sensational” Sir Terry Wogan, “Elio is a fantastic musician and a great artist in his own right, and I really look forward to working with him again in the future” Chris De Burgh – Elio and his band are an act not to be missed.
