Omid Djalili at The Hawth

Omid Djalili will bring his hugely successful Schmuck for a Night stand-up show to The Hawth in December.

In the show, Omid tries to make sense of the world today: “It’ll be so current, sometimes audiences won’t laugh until they get home and turn on the TV.”

The actor/comedian’s credits range from Hollywood movies and television to live productions on the West End stage. Omid has appeared on UK and US TV, and has starred in Shaun the Sheep Movie, Mr Nice, Gladiator, Sex And The City 2, The Mummy and The Infidel. On TV, he has been most recently seen in the BBC Four series Going Forward with Jo Brand, as well as making appearances in Dickensian for BBC1 and Stan Lee’s Lucky Man for SKY1. This summer, he is receiving critical acclaim for his role as Tevye in Chichester Festival Theatre’s Fiddler on the Roof.

Omid admits to spending most of his time trying to keep his weight down by yo-yo dieting and playing football in West London – still hoping to get spotted by Brentford Football Club!

Performance: Mon 11 December 8pm, The Hawth Theatre. Tickets: From £26, available from The Hawth Box Office: 01293 553636 or online: hawth.co.uk
