Following the success of last year’s Horsham District Jobs and Skills Fair, the event will return on 20 September 2017 (11am to 3pm), with the promise of 100s of jobs, apprenticeships and volunteering opportunities. The event, which is in its third year, will once again be held in the Drill Hall in Horsham.
Organised by Horsham District Council in partnership with The District Post, Horsham Jobcentre Plus and The College of Richard Collyer, the event will be a great opportunity for those seeking a job, thinking of changing their existing one or considering on-the- job training through an apprenticeship, to meet a wide range of employers eager to recruit and grow their organisations.
Once again, there will be bite size workshops provided by the National careers Service, designed to help people improve their employability skills and job prospects. Additionally, employers will have the opportunity to sit down with prospective employees in the café (with cake!) to discuss opportunities.
In the previous two years the event has been staged, 80 employers have offered over 1000 opportunities between them and about a third of these have been filled as a result of the day, with over 1000 local people attending.
If you are searching for that perfect career, just looking for a part time opportunity or wanting an apprenticeship, then come along!
