The summer holidays are finally here, but there’s still time for children to get involved with some fabulous wildlife themed activities.
The Summer Holiday Club at Chesworth Farm, Horsham, began this week and will run again on Wednesday 9 and Wednesday 23 August, between 10am and 3pm. Tamara Jewell, Community Project Officer at the Sussex Wildlife Trust, said: “I will be running days in Horsham during August, all with different themes. The children will be able to let their imaginations run wild, as they explore the natural world, develop bush craft skills and spend time at the camp site, practising safe fire lighting under the supervision of our trained staff and volunteers. I have noticed that blackberries are ripening fast this year, so these will be perfect for picking and making juicy paints to decorate flags with in our first session.”
Summer Holiday Club is suitable for children aged 6-11 years. Parents/carers do not accompany children. Cost per child is £21 per day for non-members (£15 per day for Sussex Wildlife Trust family members). Online booking is essential. For further information, please visit: www/sussexwildlifetrust.org.
