Organisers are inviting visitors to ‘bring the family and explore the magic’, where there will be a dedicated Children’s Zone, featuring Jumpin’ Jockeys, Bounce Mania, Amazing Funcars, artistic activities involving sand and ceramics, face painting, soft play for the little ones, clowns, stilt walkers, balloon modellers and for the ‘big children’, Benson’s Funfair.
The ‘Have-a-go Sports Zone’ will offer Golf, Basketball, Rounders, Soccer hosted by Horsham’s Sparrows, with visitors from Albion in the Community, Kung Fu, Karate, Shooting, a Touch Rugby Tournament (organised by Horsham Rugby Club) involving teams from neighbouring towns, and much more.
Horsham Festival present an afternoon of music, song, drama and dance on the Community Stage, hosted by BBC Radio Four star, Chris Aldridge.
Carfax Bandstand will feature Dave Benson Phillips providing musical entertainment for all ages
The Eco Zone will profile all things Green, including the display and judging of Horsham’s Eco-Beast Sculpture Competition.
The Business and Community Zones will be presenting opportunities to meet community groups, such as The Sea Cadets and the Olive Tree Cancer Support Unit, Charity Born Free, and sample the goods and services from local businesses. HENDY (one of Funday Sunday’s sponsors) will have a car display and there will be the chance to see emergency vehicles, as well as meet the heroes who use them, in the 999 Zone.
The Funday Food Court promises wonderful food and drinks to whet any one’s appetite.
The Rotary Charity Market … all your favourite local charities, but now in the Carfax …and visitors can also enter a couple of fun competitions to win cash prizes and a ‘Treasure Trove”.
