Strictly Come Dancing heartthrob, Giovanni Pernice, will perform in his first ever tour entitled ‘il ballo è vita’, which translates as ‘Dance is Life’, at The Hawth on Tuesday 27 June.
‘Il ballo è vita’ is not just another dance and talk show, but an elegant and beautiful tale with classy narrative, which exudes love and passion. The first half gives the audience a chance – through dance – to get to know a bit more about the Italian’s life and where his passion for dance comes from, with spectacular routines like the Jive, Charleston and Waltz. The second act tells a romantic story, based on the life of Giovanni’s grandparents, set in Sicily. Get ready for a breathtaking narrative!
Directed by Jason Gilkison, head choreographer on the BBC hit show, Giovanni is joined by seven professional dancers – Luba Mushtuk, also from Strictly Come Dancing; Curtis Pritchard (brother of AJ), Emily Barker, Giulia Dotta, Kai Widdrington,‘Dancing with the Stars’ Ireland; Dianne Buswell,‘Dancing with the Stars’ Australia; and Robert Rowinski, winner of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Poland.
Giovanni joined the hit BBC show Strictly Come Dancing in 2015 and made the final in his first year with Georgia May Foote, before teaming up with Laura Whitmore in 2016.
