Purple Zeppelin returns to The Hawth Theatre, on Thursday 6 July, to take you back to the magic, excitement and the sheer raw energy generated by two of the greatest rock bands of all time, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin.
Purple Zeppelin are four talented and versatile musicians with decades of playing between them. Together, they present a “full on” two and a half hour show. Complete with costume changes for each band, you’ll hear more than 30 classic songs.
The first set is played ‘Unplugged’ on acoustic instruments, comprising well known songs from both bands. Then, in the second set, they’ll plug in and play all the classic hits.
This is much more than just a great band performing all the greatest hits – it’s a theatrical insight into these two giants of rock, complete with special effects, onstage ‘artistic differences’ and even some audience participation!
Voted Best Tribute Band of 2015 and featured in the BBC TV documentary “The Joy of the Guitar Riff” (alongside Brian May, Tony Iommi & Dave Grohl), the band are genuine admirers of both Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin and with the accent firmly on entertainment, this show promises to be a night not to be missed, complete with Jimmy Page’s twin neck Guitar and Theremin, and a very special Violin Bow Solo!
Performance: Thursday 6 July 7.30pm, The Hawth Theatre. Tickets: £18.50, available from The Hawth Box Office on 01293 553636 or by visiting hawth.co.uk
