The Kitchen Store in Horsham’s East Street has just celebrated the first anniversary of trading in the town and they are delighted to be here! Managing Director Alan Margetts told the District Post: “We’re really pleased how the first year has gone! There is always some apprehension when starting something new, but a year in we’re very happy and customers are saying that they like what we’re doing. We feel comfortable being in Horsham – it is a pleasant place for us to be and our staff enjoys working here. We think that we’re in tune with our customers, but we’re not complacent so we’ll keep working hard to ensure that we continue to do a good job!” A visit to the store is a captivating experience – looking through the window gives a good impression of what is on offer, but it is only half the story – inside there is display after creative display of fully equipped, full sized kitchens. The contemporary equipment includes ovens, hobs, fridge freezers and there are copious examples of materials available for worktops, ranging from Corian composites and granites to solid timber worktops and a comprehensive variety of laminates. There are also many cabinets, handles and wall options to choose from.

New customers are encouraged to have a good look around the displays to get a flavour of what might be achievable in their home, Kitchen Store Manager Catherine (Cat) Scopes emphasising: “We encourage customers to take as much time as they need to browse in our relaxed environment and offer them the option to come into the store with their own brief. Or, alternatively we visit their home to measure up and provide a full service of inspirational design and installation to suit every style of kitchen, large or small, through to final inspection and sign off, project managing from start to finish.” Cat has a design background, enjoys dealing with people and, like her colleague and Designer Sam Sheppard, has also worked at the company’s stores in Lancing and Hove, saying: “What I particularly like is that we support local businesses, from Lancing’s royal warrant appointed Paula Rosa and Manhattan kitchen furniture to our trusted nearby glaziers and stonemasons and our own dedicated team of Fira Gold awarded designers and installers.” Sam adding: “We’re a good team and have been very well received in Horsham – and we’re getting enquiries and orders from quite far afield, even including London.”

Horsham’s independently owned and run Kitchen Store are in the quality market but are competitively priced because they deal direct with their local manufacturer and take great pride in their much coveted professional reputation, rightly earning them hard won industry and business awards and customer accolades, as confirmed by feedback on the website. Cat adds: “We’re always thrilled to get orders through recommendations, that really does assure us that we’re on the right track. The other thing we appreciate is being part of the local community – again this year we’ll be a silver sponsor at Horsham’s iconic Piazza Italia event and we’re really looking forward to that!”

Horsham’s Kitchen Store’s modern East Street building lends itself to showcasing beautiful kitchens and new and existing customers are guaranteed to receive a warm welcome from Cat and Sam to share in their infectious enthusiasm and enjoyment in delivering a stunning individual   design for their home.
