The arrival of autumn will be celebrated with a show attracting many thousands of visitors.
Crowds will flock to the Autumn Show and Game Fair at the South of England Showground at Ardingly on October 1 and 2 from 9am-5pm.
There will be plenty of opportunities to ‘have a go’ at a wide range of countryside activities and lots of great entertainment and seasonal displays to enjoy. With delicious food and drink to sample and a wide range of trade stands to browse, the Autumn Show and Game Fair is a day out that all the family will enjoy, say organisers.
The “have a go” activities include clay pigeon shooting, fly fishing, terrier racing, dog agility, blacksmithing, gundog scurry and archery.Other highlights are Horseback Falconry Show with Jonathan Marshall, Dog and Duck Show with Stuart Barnes, Gun dog training activities, displays and scurries, Kent and Surrey Bloodhounds on Saturday, Crawley and Horsham Hunt on Sunday, Huxley’s Birds of Prey, Children’s entertainment including Punch & Judy, scarecrow making, fairground and Pumpkin Trail, vegetable and flower displays celebrating the Autumn Harvest, Poultry and rabbits including showing, competitions and advice, SEVAC Vintage Vehicle and Machinery display and a Donkey Show on Sunday.
