Local job hunters and employers will come together for Horsham District Council’s second Jobs and Skills fair, hoping to find that perfect match.
Following the success of the first Horsham District Jobs and Skills Fair in September 2015, employers offering jobs, apprenticeships and career opportunities, will once again showcase their opportunities and meet with local job hunters at the Drill Hall in Horsham on September 14, from 11am to 5pm.
The Fair, organised by Horsham District Council in partnership with The District Post, Horsham Jobcentre Plus and The College of Richard Collyer, will be a great opportunity for those seeking a job, thinking of changing their existing one or considering on-the-job training, through an apprenticeship, to meet a wide range of employers eager to recruit and grow their organisations.
This year sees more than 30 employers showcasing their opportunities, including Gatwick Airport, AJW Aviation, Spofforths, Place for People Leisure, British Army and Trend Control Systems. This is an increase on last year’s fair.
Once again there will be bitesize workshops designed to help people improve their employability skills and job prospects. Additionally, employers will have the opportunity to sit down with prospective employees in a separate 1 to 1 meeting area to discuss careers, and a café space will be available to all.
If you’re on a quest for that first job, a change of direction or some career advice, or know someone else who might be, this year’s Horsham Jobs and Skills Fair may well provide the means to an end and the beginning of your journey to work and a fulfilling career.
