Warm welcome for visitors
Students returned hospitality when they entertained visitors from Germany.
Collyer’s welcomed them to the Horsham college as part of an educational student exchange trip from Lindau in Southern Germany.
The guests started their educational week in the UK with a tour of Horsham and a glorious day
at the seaside in Brighton. They joined their English exchange partners in London, where they visited Madame Tussauds, the London Eye and enjoyed a performance of ‘Wicked’ at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, as well as shopping.
Collyer’s German teacher Katja Welton, who co-ordinated the trip, said: “It was an excellent
week and the students had a terrific time. They also made some good friendships which
could last for a lifetime”
Collyer’s Assistant Principal Melanie Russell said: “Our students had an incredible
time visiting Germany earlier on in the year and I’m so pleased that we’ve been able to
reciprocate with a lovely welcome here.”
