Following the dream

Youngsters from the Horsham area have been busy rehearsing for their Summer School production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Youth Group Production at The Capitol.

Retelling the Biblical story of Joseph and the coat of many colours, this magical musical, the UK’s longest running, is full of unforgettable songs including Those Canaan Days, Any Dream with Do and Close Every Door To Me.

Nick Mowat, General Manager at The Capitol, said: “We have an important role to play in the future of our local young people and I’m extremely proud of the fact that we not only offer the Summer School each year for this purpose but also the Pantomime at Christmas and Chichester Festival Youth Theatre in between. It is so important that we offer young people opportunities to learn, grow in confidence and develop skills and their personalities in a friendly and safe environment.”

The two weeks of rehearsals culminate in performances on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th August at 2.30pm and 7pm. Tickets costing £14 (concessions £9 / Friends £12) are available from The Capitol Box Office on 01403 750220 or online at www.thecapitolhorsham.com .

This amateur youth production is by arrangement with The Really Useful Group Ltd and is supported by the District Post.
