After rising to fame as a contestant on BBC talent show I’d Do Anything, in 2008, Samantha Barks has wowed fans and critics alike, with her stunning voice and captivating performances in film, theatre and television.
She has since undertaken starring roles in the UK touring productions of Cabaret and Oliver! It was her performance as Éponine in the West End production of Les Misérables, however, that led to her first movie credit, reprising the role in Tom Hooper’s Oscar winning adaptation.
Showered with critical acclaim, she was nominated for a prestigious Screen Actors Guild Award and announced as Empire Magazine’s Best Female Newcomer. Following the completion of parts in upcoming feature films, Bitter Harvest and Christmas Candle, we now see the star return to music.
Taking inspiration from her roots in musical theatre, whilst incorporating modern influences, Samantha heads out on her first solo tour, to coincide with the highly anticipated release of her new album .
