Police appeal after man seriously wounded
A man was taken to hospital in a critical condition after being found with a head injury and stab wounds in Horsham.
Police have reported that the victim knocked on the door of a flat in Burnham Place, Park Terrace East at about 1.30am on June 8 covered in blood and bleeding from his head and emergency services were called.
The man was rushed to the Royal Sussex County Hospital at Eastern Road, Brighton, where he was said to be in a critical condition.
Detective Chief Inspector Jon Hull said soon after the incident: “This man is in an extremely serious condition so we have not been able to speak to him or establish who he is. We have no information about where he has been before he knocked on the door of the flat or what happened to him. He is a white man, slim and wearing a black fur-hooded jacket. Do you recognise the description of this man who might have been in area during the evening?
“We are appealing to anyone who might have been in the Burnham Place or Park Terrace East area of the town from 9pm on Tuesday June 7 and seen anything which could help us with our enquiries.”
Four people, a 50-year-old man, a 34-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man from Horsham and a 30-year-old man from Pulborough have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remain in custody at this time.
