Southwater Junior Academy on road to Eastbourne

Southwater Junior Academy are delighted to be representing Horsham Schools  again this year! On Tuesday 17th May, a team of 4 boys and 4 girls headed to Holbrook Tennis Club to compete in the second stage of the Road To Eastbourne championship. Up against teams from Plaistow and Kirdford and Holbrook, the 3 teams competed in several relay races, with each team winning their fair share of races. The teams then split up into smaller teams, with half of the the team playing in individual matches, and the other competing in skill challenges. Southwater managed to come out on top in 6 out of 8 of their individual matches, and won the majority of the skill challenges, and were crowned as the Horsham Schools Champions for the third year in a row.
They now look forward to representing Horsham Schools and going up against the other district champions from all over Sussex, at Eastbourne’s Devonshire Park next month to see who will be crowned as the Road To Eastbourne Champions, and will be hoping for a repeat of last year when they won it for the first time!
