Groups are signing up for this year’s Horsham Battle of the Bands.
Organisers are now accepting entries for the August competition through the contest’s website at www.horshambotb.co.uk.
Judged by a panel of industry experts, the Battle of the Band Festival Weekend will take place on August 13 and 14 in Horsham Park’s ‘Human Nature Garden’.
The final of the covers competition will take place on the Saturday afternoon with the final of the originals competition taking place in the evening.
Last year’s covers and originals winners, Catfish and Team New Band, will also perform while the judges make their final decisions.
The event will then come to a close on the Sunday afternoon with the final of the acoustic competition, also taking place in the Human Nature Garden, with last year’s winner Jodie Munday performing while the judges deliberate.
Prizes to be won include a professional music video and photo-shoot, studio time, an iTunes single release package and much more.
This year the weekend will have a circus theme with workshops for kids, themed food and drink vendors and professional circus performers on site.
Co-organiser and local musician Jamie ‘Stan’ Stanley said: “Last year’s event was fantastic. We expect this year’s event to be even bigger and better. So if you’re in a band and fancy having a go, get your entries in now via the website.”
The Horsham Battle of the Bands website will also once again host an online People’s Choice poll where fans can get involved, check out the bands that have entered and vote for their favourites.
Closing date for entries is the July 1 when the heats will be announced.
