Junior Football Round Up

Horsham Sparrows

Under 12 – Sparrows kept a clean sheet due to some good, organised defending and yet another penalty save by Kane.

Ollie gave Sparrows the lead mid-way through the first half and Arthur added a second with virtually the last kick of the game. Man of the Match: George.

Under 15 – A close game played at The Needles saw players from both Horsham Sparrows and Greenway start the match by observing a minute silence in memory of Mick Browning. The first half finished goalless with Greenway taking the lead in second half. Thanks to some great saves from both keepers this was the only goal to separate sides with Greenway taking the plaudits and a deserved 3 points. Man of the match for Sparrows was Paul G.

Horsham Ambassadors U12 3 – 6 Chesworth Rovers U12

The cold weather was back this weekend as Chesworth travelled the short distance to Horsham Ambassadors for a league match that would see Chesworth stay top of the A league.

Chesworth started the scoring with Finlay hitting the mark twice for the Claret and blue. Josh then scored an audacious back flick over the keeper for 0 – 3. Ambassadors were not going to lie down for a beating and pulled 3 goals before Tom made it 3 – 4. Fletch and Seb then finished the game off for Chesworth hitting a strike each for a 3 – 6 score line.

Game 2 was 1 – 7 to the Chesworth Rovers with Josh scoring 2 more, Ben L scoring 2, Fletch also scoring 2 and Nyle rounded the match off.
