Joggers battle on at Dunsfold track

This week it was not just the weather but the terrain that Horsham Joggers had to contend with!

At Dunsfold test track, used by BBC Top Gear, the Jigsaw School had their annual 10K race. A record field of over 250 competed in this its third year. Joggers were lead home by Paul Oakley finishing 7th in 38:55 followed by Stuart Adesilu 42:19,Emma Comber 45:23, Penny Barron 53:01, Imogen Hosker 54:26, Melanie Bullen 54:57, Caroline Bransden 57:18, Paul Windust 57:54, Paul Chandler 58:55,Jo Willison 59:19, Amanda Avery 1:01:05, Lorraine Hunter 1:01:14 and Deborah

Weller 1:06:57.

In addition the final race in the Sussex Grand Prix series was held at Crowborough. The 10K has a well renowned hill, which the runners have to tackle twice, and also a ford which can be run through! Mal Thornton was first Jogger home in 40.47 and the best of the rest was Raff Vitale 41.51, Brian Frost 46.53, Will Green 47.36, Janine Littler 47.51, Mike Thornton 48.33, Saul Brignall 48.47, Paul Yokom 49.15, Emma Catlow 49.49, Guy Gilder 49.50, Dan Price 57.06, Jenny Boniface 59.12, Kirsty Anstee-Brown 59.12, Lisa Bowler 59.26, Natasha Heasman 1.00.21, Elizabeth Scott 1.04.13, Mike Duplock 1.09.52, Paul Aylett 1.09.52 and Claire Burrows 1.12.33.

A special prize is awarded for any runners completing 8 or more of this series and HJ had Alan Pettitt, Paul Yokom, Claire Burrows, Janine Littler, Paul Chandler, Raff Vitale, Brian Frost and Daniel Price achieving this mark.
