Enjoy an evening of shopping, music, food, entertainment and festive treats in Henfield High Street on Friday December 11 from 5.30pm until 8pm.
Younger visitors can join in the fun of the ‘Sheep Trail’ and help to reunite the shepherd with all his lost knitted sheep, which are hidden in the shop windows. There will be a funfair, and Father Christmas is planning to take a break from his busy North Pole schedule to visit his Henfield grotto.
There will be lots of stalls in the High Street, some delicious street food including hot dogs, The Plough’s barbeque, Punjabi delicacies from Jai Jhot and a Sussex Food Stall from Rushfields.
Other attractions include popcorn at Stokes, face-painting at Village Care, roasted chestnuts outside Jeremys, hot chocolate and brownies at Cinder Rose and lots of mince pies, mulled wine and other delicious treats at various shops.
High Street shops are participating in the Window Dressing competition with a lovely festive theme, so take time to look at their beautifully sparkling contributions.
You may be lucky enough to spot some of the cast of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, Henfield Theatre Company’s Christmas production in costume for the evening.
The Box Office will be open for tickets at Stevens Estate Agents. For children there will be a festive storytime and a Christmas treasure hunt at the library too.
