Beauty and the Beast breaks record at The Capitol

With just over a week to go until The Capitol’s pantomime, Beauty and the Beast, ends on January 3, Nick Mowat, General Manager, is thrilled to announce that the show has already become the most successful pantomime in the theatre’s history.

The previous record holder, Peter Pan staged in 2013 has already been overtaken.

Nick said: “This magical family show full of love, laughter, singing and dancing, has really captured the hearts of everyone who has seen it. Our fantastic cast, including TV’s Andrew Hayden-Smith and Olly Pike from CBBC’s Trapped, are doing a wonderful job and the comedy, in the hands of Mike Goble, is proving to be incredibly popular. This new show, created especially for Horsham, has real heart and people have commented on how all the characters have their own story. So whilst there’s all the favourite panto elements, like slapstick, audience participation and song and dance, I think audiences have been taken on a proper journey with each character, thereby giving everyone just that bit more than they were expecting.”
