The event opens at 11.00 am and will celebrate some of Sussex’s finest attractions with local delicacies, Sussex brewers, bakers, craftsmen, musicians and animals. This year’s principle sponsor is Domino’s who have recently opened a new pizza take away restaurant on Lower Street, Pulborough, where people can have a go at making dough.
In the LMC Autos Arena attractions will include dog agility and displays from Huxley’s flying birds of prey, with audience participation. There will be music and children’s games and MP Nick Herbert, will open the event and judge the event and judge the annual scarecrow competition.
The fair takes place in the field opposite the Chequers Hotel and the adjacent parish church.
Support from Harwoods and Pulborough Medical Group means there will be plenty of free entertainment throughout the day, including music from the West Chiltington Silver Band.
The food and drink section, sponsored by So-India, includes beer tents with local beers from Hammerpot and Hepworths, wine from Hennings, a shepherd’s hut serving delicious Sussex lamb, hog roasts, pies, pizza, cakes and lots more.
Dogs are very welcome and can be entered on the day for Arun Vet’s fun dog show for £1 each, with prizes and rosettes for winners of each fun class.
Free parking is signed to local car parks, all within five minutes walk of the Fair and for those with walking difficulties there is a free shuttle-bus from the Lower Street Car park in Old Pulborough village.
