Wine expert Oz Clarke is among the celebrities in the line-up of more than 50 events for the month-long Steyning and District Food and Drink Festival that starts next weekend.
The festival runs from September 5 to October 4 and organisers say it has been growing in popularity since it is started in 2013. They say this year’s events have an “awesome selection” promoted by local food businesses and featuring some well-known names.
Oz will be holding a tutored wine tasting on September 22. The ticket price includes a copy of his new book “Oz Clarke’s A-Z of Wine 2015”, as well as canapes and six wines to savour.
The next headliner is Sophie Thompson, acclaimed actress and winner of last year’s Celebrity Chef. She will be hosting a supper where she will be talking about her new publication “My Family Kitchen”. Tickets include a two course meal, a glass of wine and a copy of Sophie’s book. Both events will be held at the Sussex Produce Café.
The farmers market , which was the winner of the Sussex Food and Drink Awards 2014/15 Best Sussex Farmers Market, which offer live music, cookery demonstrations, and a selection of food and drink stalls. There will also be also a series of breakfasts and lunch events to raise money for Age UK Horsham District, a two-day beer festival, and a safari supper.
