Sussex based organic and Fairtrade chocolate artisans, Cocoa Loco, are celebrating their 10th anniversary this month, with a ‘chocolate extravaganza’ in the Carfax, in Horsham, on Monday 25th May, from 1-3pm. This comes on top of winning The Best Food Producer, at the Sussex Food and Drink awards.
Proving that local retailers can still thrive in a challenging climate, Cocoa Loco opened their first retail outlet in Piries Place, Horsham, in September 2014, selling their gorgeous Organic and Fairtrade chocolates, all made in small batches, on the Knepp Estate in West Grinstead.
Commenting on the celebrations, Cocoa Loco founder, Sarah Payne, said, “We are thrilled to be celebrating 10 years in business. I can’t believe how quickly the time has flown. Without a doubt, it has been an amazing and magical journey. It only seems like yesterday that I was making chocolate brownies in my Aga at home and selling them at local farmers markets. This party is our way of thanking the customers that have supported us in the last 10 years. Expect some scrumptious chocolate creations to sample, fabulous entertainment and lots of extra special touches, including some fabulous 10th anniversary offers in our shop. Every customer will be entered into our competition to win one of 5 golden VIP tickets to our Carfax anniversary celebrations, no matter how small their purchase!”
Commenting on Cocoa Loco’s success, Cocoa loco MD, Rory Payne, said, “It’s so important to Sarah and I that our chocolate is produced to the highest welfare and environmental standards, by people who care passionately about what they do and who are paid fairly for their skills and efforts. We love the fact that by working with Fairtrade, we are showing our support for farmers and producers around the world. And of course, our customers love our products and the ethics behind them.
You are invited to join the Cocoa loco team in Horsham Carfax on 25th May to celebrate their 10th anniversary.
