If you are planning to whip your wardrobe into shape this season and have a really good clear out whilst supporting a local charity then why note support the 2015 Cancer Research UK Donation Station at Swan Walk.
After huge success in previous years, Swan Walk Shopping Centre in Horsham launch their 2015 Donation Station next Thursday, April 16.
“Swan Walk’s loyal customers have raised over £100,000 for Cancer Research UK over recent years,” said Gill Buchanan, Centre Manager. “After a huge £17,000 result in 2014 we are hoping to add at least this much again this year.
“Donating could not be easier and for many of our regular customers this has become an annual activity. Customers can collect a bag from the pick up point in the centre, fill it up at home and pop it back to the drop off point when they are next shopping in Horsham. What better reason could there be to have a good clear out at home to make way for your new summer purchases. Please take the time to check out your wardrobes, cupboards and shelves and help us to make 2015 another successful year. This really is the ultimate recycling challenge for us all.”
Cancer Research UK will be delighted to receive good quality clothes, shoes, accessories, books, homewares, DVD’s and CD’s. All donations will be used in the first instance to stock the two Cancer Research UK stores in Horsham’s East Street and West Street so this really is a town centre community event.
Each bag can be worth up to £30.00 to the charity and donators can also sign up for Gift Aid. Victoria Godfrey, Manager at the Cancer Research UK’s East Street store, who has worked with the centre every year to deliver this event, said: “We’ve had tremendous support from Swan Walk and the people of Horsham in the past and we are looking forward to the 2015 challenge.”
