The District Post is organising the Caffe Italia competition this year as part of the Horsham Piazza Italia fortnight in the lead up to the event this Easter.
The competition will take place from Friday, March 13, to April 10, and all local businesses serving coffee are invited to participate.
Coffee is an essential part of Italian culture, and the Caffe Italia competition is searching for the perfect coffee experience. The competition puts the spotlight on local businesses, with the emphasis on product quality as well as customer service.
All businesses who serve coffee are encouraged to participate in Caffe Italia in the lead up to the Piazza Italia weekend. Customers at various coffee outlets will vote on a scale of 0-5 for participating businesses, either online or on paper, based on flavour, presentation and customer service.
Any business serving coffee can take part, be it an independent cafe, a coffee chain, or simply a business serving coffee as part of another service, such as in a beauty salon or barbers.
As well as encouraging customers to complete hard copy forms for and to post a vote in a designated voting box, customers can also vote online at www.surveymonkey.com/s/CafeItalia.
The competition closes at midnight on April 10, 2015 and the winning business will be announced on Friday, April 17.
