The District Post is organising the Caffe Italia competition this year as part of the Horsham Piazza Italia fortnight in the lead up to the event this Easter.
The competition will take place from Friday, March 13, to April 10, and East Street business 1898 are participating in this years event.
Manager, Mark Price said: “1898 offers a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We sell great tasting coffee, teas and hot chocolates to have in or take-away. Our naughty hot chocolate piled high with whipped cream and marshmallows, extravagant black forest gateau hot chocolate or just the additional caramel shot, are all firm favourites with the customers!.”
1898 tempt you with big, bold, fresh cakes and bakes including cream egg brownies in the lead up to Easter, caramel slices and a rocky road like no other! Mark added: “They’re a lot chunkier than your average brownie!”
The cafe also offer lighter options with a selection of spring salads, quiches and more available in their deli fridge.
They also offer impressive jacket potatoes from their special jacket oven which can be seen on the counter and delicious hot toasties.
1898 are currently carrying out work on their cellar, which is due to open soon. The cellar will offer more seating and provide a more upmarket setting perfect for a glass of wine and bistro style food.
As well as being a part of the Cafe Italia competition, 1898 will also be part of the Piazza Italia wine tasting tour.
1898 is open from 8.30am to 7pm, Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
