Seized necklaces may have been stolen

Do you recognise these necklaces?

They were seized by police on December 29, after officers searched the car of a suspected burglar from Henfield.

Detectives do not currently know who the items belong to but believe they may have been stolen in a burglary.

Sussex Police launched Operation Magpie to tackle burglary across the county.

Detective Constable Oliver Summers said: “We need to identify who the necklaces belong to so we can return them to their rightful owners.

“If the necklaces have been stolen, this could also help us prove who took them and to bring the offenders to justice.

“If you have any ideas who they belong to, please contact us.”

A 28-year-old man has been questioned on suspicion of burglary before being released on bail until February 7.
