Following a kitchen fire which devastated Wabi just over three months ago, the popular Japanese restaurant re-opened its doors this month fully refurbished.

The restaurant had a soft opening on September 1, and held launch events on September 4, and September 5.

General manager Nero Gilissen told The District Post: “The restaurant has been completely refurbished and it is stunning. It has a very contemporary Japanese feel and as before still has the lounge area and the restaurant. It’s a lovely dining environment, it’s truly amazing.

“As for the food and menu, we’ve kept the same ingredients for food and cocktails. The layout of the menu has changed and the food is presented in a much better fashion.”

Wabi will also be open until 2am on Friday’s and Saturday’s for cocktails.

The refurbishments cost just over half a million pounds and customer feedback has been positive.

Nero said: “Customers have been incredibly supportive and are delighted to have Wabi back. People are loving it and since the re-opening business has generally improved.

Wabi is located at 38, East Street, Horsham and is open for lunch, dinner and cocktails.
