Scouting groups across the Horsham District including came together on Sunday, April 27, for their annual march for St George’s Day.

The parade began at 2.15pm and despite wet weather, they marched along North Street then up to Park Way and into East Street before finishing in the Carfax where a service took place.

St. George is the Patron Saint of the Scouts, so the Sunday nearest to St. George’s Day has become an annual occasion for the Scouts to hold ceremonies when they reaffirm their Promise and acknowledge the Scout Law in a national act of dedication.
