Piazza Italia’s fortnight of fun kicks off this Saturday, April 5. The two week event leading up to the Piazza Italia weekend involves promotions and activities from a variety of local businesses, making Horsham an exciting place to be over the whole Easter holidays.
Events confirmed to take place during the fortnight include a VIP shopping event in Swan Walk on Sunday, April 13, the Piazza film festival at the Capitol, starting on Friday, April 11, children’s activities in Horsham Museum, The Rotary bunny hunt, and the Café Italia Coffee Competition hosted by The District Post.
For those wanting to indulge in a little retail therapy, the VIP shopping event takes place on Sunday, April 13, from 10am to 4pm, and is free to attend. Visitors can relax with complimentary mini manicures and massages, as well as cupcakes and champagne to finish off the experience. Guests can also claim their free goodie bag including discounts to local retail outlets by printing off their invitation from Swan Walks website or Facebook page.
To keep the little ones entertained, Horsham Museum will be hosting a variety of activities during the fortnight to celebrate all things Italian. There will be eight days of events in total, taking place throughout the day, including creating Italian foods, designing Italian supercars, and the chance to paint an Italian masterpiece in an Italian themed art classes. The events are aimed at children aged six to 11, and each session lasts for 1 ½ hours. All of the activities cost £5 per child, and must be pre-booked. Places can be reserved on 01403 211661.
Furthermore, the Piazza film week won’t just be concentrating on the traditional Italian supercar films, there will be something to interest everyone. Romantic comedies such as ‘Roman Holiday’ and animated family entertainment including ‘Cars 2’ provides something for the whole family to enjoy, and again widens Piazza Italia to a broader audience.
